The Environmental Equipment Manufacturers Sector is one of the sectors with most potential in our country. It is still a relatively young industry whose development has taken place under the application of European environmental legislation carried out since Spain joined the EU.

Over the last few years, the number of projects and the development of companies in the sector have achieved a spectacular increase. The fact that it is a relatively new sector has benefited the fact that Spanish companies have adapted very quickly to new technologies, thus allowing it to be considered a technologically advanced sector.

The sector includes companies of renowned prestige and experience shown in projects and installations in Spain and abroad. Exports from the sector mainly to France, Portugal, Italy and Germany, are on the rise due to the sound technological capacity and quality-price ratio of Spanish equipment. AMEC URBIS, as an association representing the environmental equipment manufacturing companies, carries out different initiatives with the aim of improving the standing of Spanish companies in the different world markets.

To further this purpose, in 2004 AMEC URBIS joined EUCETSA (European Association of National Associations of environmental companies). EUCETSA plays an active role in the promotion and spreading of environmental technologies, mainly in the air, water and waste sectors. This CD-ROM presents the main Spanish companies in the sector with comprehensive information on their products and technological innovations.
